Summer Camp Program

Summer Camp Program

School-age Summer Camp Program
(Children must have completed kindergarten to enroll.)

Our Summer Camp program runs throughout the summer Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. We are a State of Ohio licensed program, and limit enrollment to 28 children.

Tuition

As a mission of the church our program is partially financed by the church and the discounted tuition for all families for Summer Camp 2019 is $ 160.00 weekly. There are no registration fees and tuition includes all meals (breakfast, two snacks and lunch) and field trips. Minimum enrollment during the program is eight weeks. We do not offer daily rates; therefore, tuition is due each week of enrollment regardless of absent days or days we are closed. We close one day during the summer for the fourth of July.

To Enroll

At least one parent and the camper must take a tour; please allow a half hour for the visit. Call the director, Greg Windle, at (513) 324-2618 to schedule a tour.

Program Description (please see the Parent Handbook for a complete description):

We offer a non-religious educational program. Activities such as field trips, class room, outdoor, and art activities are designed to help children develop new skills, make new friends, and most of all enjoy their summer break. Science, language, and math skills are challenged through group times, friendly competition, and through various activities provided.

Field Trips

The following are some of the trips we schedule each summer: Coney Island Amusement Park, the Beach Water Park, B&B Riverboat Pirate Cruise down the Ohio River, Jungle Jim’s, Colerain Bowl for Glow Bowling, Cincinnati Zoo, Contemporary Art Center, Dewey’s Pizza, Skyline, several trips to Graeters and Burnett Woods, Sawyer Point/Yeatman’s Cove, and swim trips to the Hanna ‘Armleder Aquatic Center Pool/Playground’ to play and swim. This is one of the City of Cincinnati’s newer pools with slides!! Two life guards and a gate attendant will be at the pool as well as our own staff members. A detailed field trip itinerary is usually available around the first of April.

Facility

Located in the church we have a playground, indoor gym play area, and a large class room with game, manipulative, dramatic play, science, library, TV/DVD, and block areas. There is also a large art area and an area for special art activities, lunches and snacks.
